At least 20 of Denver’s chefs will be busy this weekend making stock for soups for more than 800 people at Soup for the Soul, a benefit for Porter Hospice and St. Anthony Hospice.

Between simmering chicken, chopping onions and roasting squash, they took time to share some recipes.

In its eighth year, the popular fundraiser serves soup, bread, appetizers and desserts, and features a silent auction with works of local and national artists.

Soup for the Soul is 5:30-9 p.m. March 5 at the Adam’s Mark Hotel downtown. Tickets are $90; call 303-715-7612 or visit for additional information.
