DENVER—Two people have been treated for minor injuries after a Regional Transportation District bus crashed into a Denver home.

The accident happened about 7 p.m. Wednesday. Denver police Sergeant Bob Wyckoff says the driver of the westbound bus either failed to stop at a stop sign, or stopped and continued, and didn’t see a car coming from the south.

RTD spokesman Scott Reed says the driver told dispatch that the car cut him off.

The bus veered to miss the car, but hit it before veering again and hitting the home.

No one was in the residence at the time. The driver and a passenger on the bus were hurt, and were taken to a nearby hospital.

Reed says the bus was operated by private contractor First Transit.

Police are investigating.
