COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Kael Mouillierat’s goal just 16 seconds into overtime gave Minnesota State, Mankato, a 3-2 win over Colorado College on Saturday.

The Mavericks (17-13-4, 11-11-4 WCHA), who trailed 2-0 after two periods, also got goals from Jason Wiley and Jerad Stewart.

The win snapped a three-game losing streak and kept Minnesota State in the hunt for home ice for the first round of the WCHA playoffs with one week left in the regular season. The Mavericks also prevented Colorado College (24-9-1, 19-5-1) from capturing at least a share of the WCHA regular season title.

The game was scoreless until the 8:06 mark of the second period when Tigers forward Eric Walsky scored.

Chad Rau, who leads the WCHA in goal scoring, made it 2-0 with his 25th goal of the season with 86 seconds remaining in the period. But Minnesota State began the comeback when Wiley scored 37 seconds into the third period.

Stewart tied the game at 5:13. Minnesota State goalie Mike Zacharias made 28 saves for the win. The Tigers’ Richard Bachman stopped 31 shots.
