AURORA — A man shot in the back in a nearby apartment complex parking lot in east Aurora walked into a 7-Eleven asking for help tonight.
The man did not have grave injuries but was taken to a local hospital for treatment, according to Aurora police.
Numerous callers told police of multiple gunshots being fired in the parking lot in the 1000 block of Zeno Way, about three blocks away, just before 9 p.m.
Police talked to one man involved in the incident, but had not yet determined if he was a suspect, said Lt. Bob Friel, a spokesman for Aurora police.
The convenience store is at East Alameda Parkway near Mississippi Avenue.
At about the same time, a GameStop store on East Quincy Avenue was robbed by two men who were carrying guns.
The men left in a white Pontiac Grand Am, Friel said.
