Timberline Steak

Flight delayed? Lucky you. Grab a bar stool at Timberline Steak in Concourse C and treat yourself to a Bloody Mary (or two) and a USDA prime rib-eye, with two sides (get the mac and cheese, and yes, mixed vegetables). Sure, you’ll spend 30-odd bucks, but there’s Bob Seger on the stereo and the bartender calls you “Hon.” You can’t put a price on that. Denver International Airport, Concourse C Tucker Shaw

Bacon cups

Why didn’t we think of this?! Bacon cups put the fried-tortilla bowl to shame. Seattle blogger Megan posted this project on her website, , to the delight of bacon lovers and not-Martha types everywhere. She wove the bacon, basket-style, and draped it over a large muffin tin. Three hours of baking, burning and a house full of smoke later, Megan had perfected the art of bacon-basket weaving. See her technique at notmartha.org.
