LOS ANGELES — UCLA coach Ben Howland visited coaching great John Wooden in the hospital, where Wooden is recovering from a fall Thursday.
Wooden, 97, was in good spirits and his vital signs were normal, his daughter Nan Muehlhausen said.
“The doctors are trying to keep the pain at a low level and the medication makes Dad drowsy, but he is doing well,” she said.
Muehlhausen said she expects it will be two more days before her father goes home.
“These things take time,” she said.
