Nuggets reserve forward Linas Kleiza likely will play tonight against Phoenix, though he is still bothered by a left foot injury. And Chucky Atkins, who underwent sports hernia surgery, said this morning it is possible he could play against the Suns.

Coach George Karl is hesitant to play Atkins until the reserve guard goes through a couple more practices.

“I told him — you look like you’re in the third day of training camp, where you body wants to do more than it can,” Karl said after this morning’s shootaround.

If Atkins doesn’t play tonight, it’s likely he will make his return Friday at Pepsi Center against San Antonio.
