GRAND JUNCTION, COLO. — A preliminary hearing is set for April 11th for a man accused of driving drunk and causing an accident that killed a Whitewater woman.

Twenty-one-year-old Trae Frigetto of Grand Junction faces multiple charges in connection with the February 1st crash, including two counts of vehicular homicide, driving under the influence, DUI with an excessive blood-alcohol level, driving under license revocation, and hit-and run causing death.

Authorities say Frigetto was driving a van that rammed the back of a pickup on February 1st. The crash killed 54-year-old Michelle Lefever.

Court records show Frigetto had a blood-alcohol level of 0.47 — almost six times the legal limit in Colorado.

Frigetto has denied driving the van.

He’s being held on $200,000 bond.
