WASHINGTON — National Public Radio chief executive Ken Stern is leaving by “mutual agreement,” the board said Thursday. Chairman Dennis L. Haarsager will serve as interim CEO while the board searches for a permanent replacement. The board did not give a reason for Stern’s departure.
