Nuggets, Avalanche and DU sports fans have a new destination on FM radio.
Lincoln Financial Group, owner of KKFN (“The Fan”) and KJCD (“Smooth Jazz”) pulled the plug on its Smooth Jazz format in Denver because of a decline in ratings and advertising, and moved the sports talk format to FM. The Fan now occupies 104.3 FM, the former Smooth Jazz frequency.
The Fan will continue to simulcast its signal on 950 AM through March, when the AM station is expected to switch to a new format.
