The idea of “March madness” can go a million different directions, especially when expressed in haiku. Entrants of The Denver Post $25 Haiku Contest did not disappoint. This week, we picked John Martin of Grand Junction, who summed it all up nicely:
shoes squeak on gym floors
a basketball marathon
melts the winter’s gloom
