A letter returned to a private alternative high school in Boulder was decidedly unacademic — it contained four ounces of pot.
The sender had listed the address of the September High School as the return address, but failed to put on enough postage, according to Boulder police.
The name on the return address did not match any students or employees, police said.
The school’s principal discovered the weed when he opened the envelope to look for clues as to who might have mailed the standard letter envelope.
Police said they have a suspect who has no affiliation with the school.
