The Democratic National Convention Committee has promised that Denver will host the “greenest convention” ever. What that means, among other things, is an online “carbon calculator” so that attendees can estimate — and offset for about $12 apiece — their “carbon footprint” while here in August. Also, some 800 volunteers will be needed as part of a “Green Team” to accomplish an “85 percent waste diversion rate at the Pepsi Center and the Colorado Convention Center.” Keep track of DNCC greening efforts online at .
