TUCSON — TucsonHot prospect Dexter Fowler, the Rockies’ center fielder of the future, was one of five players re-assigned to minor league camp today.

The other players sent down were infielders Christian Colonel and Chris Nelson, outfielder Joe Gaetti and catcher Neil Wilson. All five players were non-roster invitees to major league spring training camp.

The speedy Fowler, 23, hit .286 with a double and three RBIs in 10 Cactus League games. He made five starts in center field, making several nice grabs.

The Rockies now have 48 players on the major league spring training roster, including 11 non-roster players.
