California mission tour
The Women’s Educational Society of Colorado College is offering a tour of several California missions and other historical sights from May 10-17. The tour, led by Marianne L. Stoller, Colorado College professor emerita of Anthropology, will visit San Francisco de Asis (Mission Dolores), San Carlos Bartolomeo, La Purissima, the “Queen of the Missions,” the Presidio and San Juan Bauptista. Travelers will also visit Big Bain Redwood Forest and the Monterey Bay Aquarium, as well as several wineries. Cost is $1,400 and includes transportation in a highway bus, all lodging and entrance fees, one dinner and a tax-deductible contribution of $100 to the WES scholarship fund.
