COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A district judge has chosen Boulder as the location where the attempted-murder trial of a Colorado Springs man may take place.

Fourth Judicial District Judge Larry Schwartz informed prosecutors and defense attorneys Monday that the trial of Jereme Lamberth could begin June 9th in Boulder.

Lamberth faces a felony charge of attempted murder for allegedly stabbing his sister several times in the face in February 2006.

Schwartz previously ruled that Lamberth could not get a fair trial in El Paso County due to the media coverage of his previous trial, in which he was convicted of killing a Colorado Springs police detective.

Two chief district judges and the Colorado Supreme Court chief justice must approve the new time and place for Lamberth’s latest trial.
