COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—A Goodwill Industries official says an explosion at a Colorado Springs laundry facility blew out a wall and sent debris flying as far as 600 feet.
Firefighters evacuated about 30 people from the building. No one was injured.
Goodwill spokeswoman Melissa Lyby says a water treatment tank connected to a boiler caused the blast around 9 a.m. Thursday.
The laundry facility is part of a Goodwill program to employ people who need help with basic job skills. It provides laundry service to military, hospitality and medical facilities.
