“No Place for Hate” program Hickenlooper lends backing to ADL’s school anti-hate program
Throughout the year-long program, schools work to complete five steps to earn their designation as a “No Place for Hate” community:
• Create a coalition to oversee the implementation of anti-bias programs and projects.
• Display the Anti-Defamation League’s “Resolution of Respect,” which says, in part, “I firmly believe that one person can make a difference and that no person can be an innocent bystander when it comes to opposing hate.”
• Complete three or more activities listed in the league’s “Positive Impact!” resource guide.
• Participate in one training program.
• Complete and submit the “activities and fulfillment forms” to the league.
Programs include peer training for students and help for them to develop skills to respond to name-calling and bullying incidents.
