PUEBLO, Colo.—Kendall Babler made four free throws in the final 64 seconds, allowing the No. 6 seeded Grand Valley High School to upset top-seeded Rocky Ford 38-33 Friday night in a Class 2A girls basketball semifinal game.

“We knew we had to be strong with the ball and confident at the free throw line in the fourth quarter,” said Babler, who had a game-high 17 points. “I’m just so happy that I was able to come through for my team.”

Grand Valley will play in its first girls basketball state championship game at 5:15 p.m. Saturday against Wray (20-6).
