Firefighters this morning snuffed a fire creeping through the walls of a restaurant near Park Meadows.
A person working at J. Alexander’s, 9709 E. County Line Road, smelled smoke after opening the doors of the business this morning and called 911 at about 6 a.m., said Andy Lyons, a spokesman with the South Metro Fire Protection District.
The restaurant is located in the Centennial Promenade, across County Line Road from the mall.
No one was injured in the fire and the seating portion of the restaurant was not damaged, Lyons said.
The restaurant will not be open today, but hopes to be open tomorrow, an employee said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
