Getting your player ready...

So far, the Nuggets’ five-game road trip is leading nowhere.

Hey, stuff happens when you don’t play any defense.

Check that. The Nuggets have played some D on the trip. They just haven’t played enough to keep the Pistons from making 60.4 percent of their shots. Or to keep the Sixers from making 60.3 percent.

Good luck trying to find more atrocious stats than those. They’re a byproduct of allowing too many easy shots, which has become the trademark of this team.

Then you’ve got the other end of the court. I was talking to ESPN NBA analyst Tim Legler the other day, and he says the Nuggets work harder for shots than any other team in the league.

Maybe that’s it. They expend so much energy on the offensive end of the court, the Nuggets don’t have any left for the defensive end.

Either that or they care more about scoring points than preventing them. I’ll let you be the judge.
