played an impromptu acoustic set at the Hi-Dive Thursday night, to a very small crowd that seemed to be composed mostly of family, friends and press. The acoustic rendering of the band’s typically electric songs was the result of forgetting the key to their equipment trailer.
Driving back to Fort Collins was not an option, and a quick trip to the local hardware store failed to gain them access to their gear, so the band borrowed some equipment and pressed on, led by a pair of acoustic guitars.
Their longish set, on the heels of the purposefully acoustic , was well received by the crowd, but ultimately lacked rock juice. Those who stuck around late were treated to a highly energetic and somewhat campy set of electric, feel-good rock from headliner .
