DENVER—Broncos’ coach Mike Shanahan is building a 35,000-square-foot home in the posh Cherry Hills Village suburb with a bowling alley, six fireplaces and a six-car garage.

A building permit filed with the city shows the home will have a poker room, a video-golf room and a kids’ arcade. It will have at least six bedrooms, including a master suite with his-and-hers closets.

The Denver Post reports Shanahan and his wife Peggy bought the 3.5-acre lot from Janet Elway, ex-wife of Broncos quarterback John Elway, for $4 million.

There’s no final estimate on the price of the house, but the building permits show it has cost at least $7.6 million so far.

A Broncos spokesman says the home will be completed in about a year.
