A drug bust in Jefferson County netted 5 pounds of heroin, half a pound of cocaine, guns and thousands in cash, leading to the arrests of three men, authorities said.

The trio appeared in court in Jefferson County this week and are being held at Jefferson County Jail on $500,000 bail each, according to authorities.

The arrests happened March 13 at a home after the West Metro Drug Task Force received a tip “about a drug-distribution operation that had ties to both Jefferson County and Denver,” the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release. The Sheriff’s Office refused to release the home’s address.

The suspects have been identified as Jesus Efrain Espinoza-Verdugo, 22; Jose Fidel Martinez-Soto, 31; and Luis Miguel Arrendondo-Soto, 23.

Denver police and agents with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency assisted in the raid and arrests.

The suspects were charged Wednesday with possession and intent to distribute a controlled substance.
