It’s obvious that Gary Kubiak in two years has done a better job building the Houston Texans than Mike Shanahan has done with the Broncos in the last eight years. It seems to me Pat Bowlen kept the wrong coach.

Brett and Broncos
I want to respond to Jim Armstrong’s recent column titled “Favre’s exit bad omen for Broncos.” I disagree with Armstrong’s opinion that Brett Favre’s retirement from the NFL has anything to do with the Broncos. In fact, it could be said the other way around. After the Broncos lost the AFC championship game in the 2005 season, our starting quarterback was replaced midseason and they have not made the playoffs since. The 2007 Packers were experiencing a season similar to the 2005 Broncos, and it’s doubtful they will have that same success in 2008. And concerning the sections about the AFC: That is old news. People already knew the AFC is much stronger than the NFC.
