Lakewood police are looking for two men who roughed up a clerk outside a Western Convenience store early this morning.
“They showed up, worked him over, then split,” said Lakewood police spokesman Steve Davis. The suspects also fired a shot, but the clerk wasn’t hit.
Tam Nguyen, 54, was smoking outside the store at 13th Avenue and Wadsworth Boulevard when he was attacked, Davis said. He is in fair condition, a hospital spokeswoman said.
The suspects did not enter the store and didn’t steal anything.
After the attack, the two fled in a car that could be a white, mid-’90s Cadillac.
Nguyen was taken to St. Anthony Central Hospital.
Anyone with information is urged to contact the Lakewood Police Department.
