A house fire in northeast Denver this morning has displaced nine people.
The fire broke out at about 10:45 a.m. in the basement of a home at 15011 Pensacola Place, said Lt. Phil Champagne of the Denver Fire Department.
A child was treated at the scene for slight smoke inhalation and released, Champagne said.
Three adults and six children are being helped by the American Red Cross.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
