Denver should have a couple of partly sunny, mild days in store today and tomorrow before the next weather system brings a chance of moisture to the city on Thursday.
In the mountains today, skies will be mostly clear but there should be just enough moisture left over from yesterday’s storm to produce some snow showers in the high country, the weather service said.
Today’s high temperature in Denver should reach 44 degrees with winds out of the south and southeast at up to 9 mph. Tomorrow’s high temperature in the city should top out at about 57 degrees, the weather service reports.
On Wednesday night, clouds should roll over the city bringing a slight chance of rain showers before midnight before turning to snow. Denver stands a 50 percent chance of snow on Thursday with a high temperature of about 42 degrees, the weather service forecasts.
Weather in mountains will be warmer and drier today, Vail’s forecast high is 45 degrees, but rain is forecast for lower elevations of the mountains on Wednesday afternoon with snow on Wednesday night. Wet weather will likely hit the central and northern mountains, the weather service said.
