The Nuggets redeemed themselves after blowing a 22-point lead in Phoenix the night before. This time, on their home court Tuesday, the Nuggets defeated the Suns 126-120.

It wasn’t until the 3:11 mark in the fourth quarter that Phoenix took its first lead, 113-112, on two Steve Nash free throws.

There were three lead changes in the game from that point.

With 37.7 seconds left, with the shot clock about to buzz, center Marcus Camby hit a jumper from the top of the key that gave Denver a 122-120 lead.

Nash then missed a 3-pointer — with Camby defending — with 27.1 seconds left.

Carmelo Anthony made one of two free throws for Denver, Leandro Barbosa missed an open 3-pointer from the corner for Phoenix, and Denver corralled the rebound with 12.1 seconds left.

With the win, the Nuggets are alone in the West’s eighth and final playoff spot — half a game ahead of Golden State (45-29), which lost Tuesday to San Antonio. The Nuggets are just half a game behind seventh-place Dallas (46-28), which didn’t play Tuesday. Dallas hosts Golden State on Wednesday.
