Denver is seeing some wet weather today, with rain this morning turning to a brief period of snow downtown around lunch time.
Snow also is coming down in the mountains.
Today’s high temperature in Denver will be about 44 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
Mountain snow is the in the weather service’s forecast today, with an 80 percent chance in Vail. Possible daytime accumulations could be up to 4 inches in Vail today, and the high temperature should be about 40 degrees.
There will be a slight chance for snow in some mountain areas Tuesday and a better chance for snow in the mountains Wednesday, according to the weather service.
In Denver, cloudy skies will keep a rain-snow mix in the forecast tonight as the low temperature drops to about 28 degrees.
On Tuesday in the city, skies will be partly sunny, and the high temperature should be about 49 degrees.
Wednesday will bring another chance of a rain and snow mix to Denver, with a high temperature near 51 degrees, the weather service reports.
