Tires were deflated on 120 Colorado Springs school buses parked behind a chain-link fence at a bus yard, delaying the start of class for about 21,000 students on Monday.
Academy School District 20 postponed classes for two hours to give parents time to get their kids to school, said district spokeswoman Nanette Anderson. “This has happened before,” Anderson said of the vandalism. But the last occurrence was more than 11 years ago.
Police said the air was let out of the front tires.
Police have labeled the incident “suspicious.”
