COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Somebody let the air out of the front tires on 120 school buses in Colorado Springs, forcing officials to start classes two hours late and cancel morning bus runs on Monday.
Academy School District 20 spokeswoman Nanette Anderson says the deflated tires were discovered at 5 a.m.
She says officials are trying to determine if the vandalism was the work of a single person or an organized prank.
The district has 21,000 students and is the city’s second-largest. The 120 buses account for about 90 percent of the district’s fleet.
Anderson says the buses were up and running in time for the afternoon schedules.
