Fort Collins fire officials say a two-alarm blaze Saturday was started accidentally by a home owner working in the garage on the engine of the family van.
Ultimately five engine companies, two truck companies, two battalion chiefs, one investigator and one incident representative from the Poudre Fire Authority responded to the house fire Sunday afternoon at 936 Deerhurst Circle in south Fort Collins.
No one was injured, and officials don’t have an estimate for damage to the home. The fire spread from the garage to the laundry room, and the entire first level of the house was smoke-damaged.
