There should be lots of sunshine in Denver today so enjoy it while you can, rain and snow are back in the forecast for the city tomorrow and into the weekend.

Today should be mostly sunny in Denver with a high temperature near 52 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

Tonight in the city there’s a slight chance of rain and snow after midnight and a low temperature of about 31 degrees, the weather service reports.

Rain is forecast for Denver on Wednesday with a possible thunderstorm during the afternoon. Wednesday’s high temperature in Denver should be about 48 degrees, the weather service said.

On Thursday it will be cloudy in city with snow likely and a high temperature near 39 degrees, according to the weather service.

In the mountains, the Vail forecast calls for a slight chance of rain and snow showers this afternoon with a high temperature of about 46 degrees.

Wednesday’s Vail forecast, according to the weather service, calls for snow showers in the afternoon with possible thunder and a high temperature near 38 degrees. The chance of snow in Vail Wednesday is 80 percent, the weather service said, and up to 3 inches accumulation is possible.

A chance of snow sticks with the Vail forecast through Friday.
