Getting your player ready...

Thang does his thing

Short-hander.

Ryan Thang gave Notre Dame a 3-0 lead with a beautiful short-handed goal. Thang confused a defenseman with two nifty moves before rocketing a backhander top-shelf over goalie Billy Sauer’s near-side shoulder.

Assist.

As 6-foot-7 North Dakota defenseman Joe Finley went to the ice to block a shot, Boston College winger Kyle Kuchar- ski held the puck long enough and hooked it back to Andrew Orpik, who scored the Frozen Four’s first goal.

Use of manners.

A North Dakota fan, as his team trailed 4-0 during an unproductive second-period power play: “Would you hold it in the offensive zone for more than five seconds, please?”
