DENVER—Interstate 70 is back open between Limon and Burlington after being closed for about eight hours due to blowing snow and icy conditions left behind by a spring storm.
The 70-mile stretch of I-70 in eastern Colorado reopened around 12:15 a.m. Friday.
The storm forced the postponement of the Atlanta Braves-Colorado Rockies game Thursday, after fresh snowfall in the Colorado mountains and the Front Range.
Wolf Creek and Winter Park ski resorts reported 13 new inches of snow Thursday. National Weather Service meteorologist Kyle Fredin says 11 inches fell in the foothills and mountains around Virginia Dale near the Wyoming border.
The Denver area got between 1 and 3 inches, Fort Collins about an inch and Greeley 4 inches.
