Wire One, a Westminster-based videoconference company, was acquired Thursday by British Telecom for an undisclosed amount.

According to a news release, Wire One employs more than 350 professionals in the U.S. and Europe. It produces more than 60,000 video conferences annually, according to the company’s website.

Wire One is owned by the Gores Group LLC, and the acquisition must clear regulatory hurdles. According to the release, Wire One’s assets totaled $90.5 million at the end of 2007.
