The Denver committee responsible for hosting the 2008 Democratic National Convention will announce today 25 locations in which it will throw welcoming parties for delegates.

The committee is holding news conferences at three of the venues: Blair Caldwell African American Research Library, the Museo de las Americas and the Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum.

More than 40 parties are to be held for the delegations. The host committee hopes its site selections “highlight the city’s various geographic areas and cultural amenities,” according to a news release.
