Colorado Mammoth tickets for its first-round National Lacrosse League playoff series will go on sale starting Saturday at 10 a.m.
The Mammoth (7-6) can earn a postseason home game by winning a home-and-home series vs. Edmonton today and Saturday. If the Mammoth wins, it would likely host the NLL West Division semifinal May 3 at the Pepsi Center.
Sun Belt honors DU tennis standouts.
Five University of Denver tennis players earned all-Sun Belt Conference honors, led by undefeated Adam Holmstrom, ranked No. 18 in the country. Holmstrom also made the all-SBC doubles team with partner Niklas Persson.
Mallory Voelker and Annette Aksdal were named to the women’s squad, with Voelker and partner Julia Bauregger on the doubles team.
Wyoming signs punter.
Andy Desin of Billings, Mont., has committed to playing football at Wyoming.
Wyoming special-teams coach Chris Knutsen said the team was looking for a strong, athletic punter and that the defensive coaches are interested in Desin as an outside linebacker or safety.
