The Avs star won’t play in Game 1 of tonight’s playoff series with the Detroit Red Wings because of what the team said is a groin injury.
Cody McCormick took his spot in the lineup.
Forsberg practiced Wednesday and seemed in good health after Game 6 on Saturday.
He skated this morning, and the Avs made him a late scratch.
