Getting your player ready...

Colorado cornerback Terrence Wheatley must have breathed a sigh of relief, knowing he could get a good night’s sleep after being drafted by New England with the next-to-last pick in Round Two.

Wheatley, 5-feet-10 and 187 pounds, had hoped to go somewhere during the first day and just snuck in. One of the fastest cornerbacks available, Wheatley earned first-team, all-Big 12 honors as a senior last fall after recording five interceptions and 42 tackles.

He finished in a tie for third on CU’s career interceptions chart with 14.
