BRIGHTON, Colo.—Adams County deputies say an inmate was pronounced dead after he was found hanging in his cell over the weekend.
Sheriff’s Sgt. Candi Baker says the 30-year-old Westminster man was found at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday, and attempts to revive him failed.
His name hasn’t been released. Baker says he was being held without bail on charges of escape and violating parole.
Baker says the man was alone in his cell.
An investigation is under way.
