Although only 60 percent of the building will be cleaned and ready for classes, Bear Creek High School still plans to resume classes tomorrow, one week after a fire broke out in the gymnasium.

Two 15-year-old students have been arrested on arson charges in connection with the fire. Fire damage is estimated at more than $2 million.

Jefferson County Public School officials said students will be able to enter the school today to pick up belongings they left in the school when they were evacuated. The items will be available in the cafeteria from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

When school resumes tomorrow, because of limited classroom space, students with last names beginning from A to L will attend from 7:15 to 11:13 a.m. and students with M-Z last names will attend sessions from 11:23 a.m. to 3:21 p.m. Bus transportation will be provided for both sessions, but lunch will not be served.
