Shoshone Generating Station — and the 14 megawatts of power produced there — is back on line, Xcel Energy said Thursday.
The 98-year-old hydroelectric plant, located east of Glenwood Springs in Glenwood Canyon, was taken off line June 20 when one of two penstocks — pipes that deliver water to the plant — ruptured and caused water and debris to flood the generating station and switching yard.
