Notes: Lorena Ochoa is attempting to tie the tour record of five consecutive victories set by Nancy Lopez in 1978 and matched by Sorenstam in 2004-05. The top-ranked Mexican star took last week off after winning the previous four weeks. She has five victories in six starts this year. . . . Cristie Kerr won the 2006 tournament, shooting a career-best 10-under 61 in the second round and closing with a 68 to beat Sorenstam by two strokes. . . . Sorenstam, the 2002, ’04 and ’05 winner, is taking the week off. . . . Florida teenager Vicky Hurst is making her second LPGA Tour start. The 17-year-old star broke the Futures Tour’s 54-hole scoring record Sunday, closing with an 8-under 64 for an 18-under 198 total in the Jalapeño Classic. . . . The tournament, increased from 54 to 72 holes this year, is in its fourth season at Cedar Ridge after three years at Tulsa Country Club. . . . Last week: Greg Chalmers won the Henrico County Open to become the fifth Australian winner in eight events this season. Chalmers beat Norway’s Henrik Bjornstad with a bogey on the second hole of a playoff.

Australia’s Jarrod Lyle leads the money list with $189,000, followed by Chalmers ($161,154) and fellow Australian Ewan Porter ($149,745).
