What are other signs that overexercising is becoming a health risk? Here’s what experts say:
Feeling guilt, anxiety or panic if a workout is missed.
Exercising through illness or injury.
Missing social time with family and friends to get in a workout instead.
Calculating exercise needed to make up for eating a certain amount of food.
Inability to sit still because of the need to constantly burn calories. Constant movement such as bouncing legs up and down when sitting or feeling compelled to walk around a building is symptomatic.
Cutting back on eating if unable to exercise.
