Denver Nuggets assistant coach Mike Dunlap has interviewed for the Chicago Bulls head coaching vacancy.
“I guess the ‘fit’ part of it is – they’re a really young team, and I have a lot of experience with that,” Dunlap said. “That was a curiosity of them with me.”
Dunlap, the former Metro State coach, just completed his second year with coach George Karl and the Nuggets. Dunlap has a sterling reputation in basketball circles, and his name has come up with numerous college openings this season, notably at California and Oregon State.
“I understand there’s a process,” Dunlap said of the Chicago coaching search. “But it was a good meeting.”
