Delta Air Lines Inc. will protect thousands of flight-attendant, mechanic and reservations jobs in Northwest Airlines Corp.’s home state of Minnesota after the carriers merge, Delta’s chief executive said.
But CEO Richard Anderson refused to guarantee the jobs of 1,100 employees at Northwest’s headquarters in Eagan, Minn. “There will be reductions there,” he told a U.S. Senate panel.
