Sheridan and Englewood police are looking for a man who has tried at least twice to kidnap children.
The man is described as being white, between 30 and 40 years old, with a partial goatee or beard. He was driving a black Suzuki SUV.
Sheridan offered few details about the reported attempted child abduction on Wednesday.
Englewood police said that at about 4 p.m. Tuesday the man tried to entice a 10-year-old into his SUV near West Tufts Ave. and South Lowell Blvd.
The girl ran away, police said. She told officers she had seen the man near her school.
