Colorado Crush coach Mike Dailey will have an unusually large amount of company Saturday when his team plays at Utah. After announcing the signings Thursday of quarterback Jon Beutjer and defensive lineman Jonathan Goddard, the Crush’s active roster swelled to 23 players, one short of the AFL limit. It’s the largest active roster in Dailey’s five-year term.
“We have a lot of football left, but when you get past the halfway point of the season, you have to be aware of the situation,” Dailey said. “It’s a little early to be talking anything about playoffs.”
